"Although we have a great relationship and contract with our current distributor, FSIC provided guidance in the re-negotiation process that was extremely beneficial, due to their background in food service distribution. We continue to use FSIC and their RCM reporting system today."

Chain or Multi-Unit Food Service Operations

We work with chains or multi-unit operators with anywhere from 2 to 30 units. They could be a single brand or multi-brand systems. Their operations may, or may not, already have a distribution contract or prime vendor program in place. They are also interested in obtaining manufacturer contact pricing and/or rebates on their key items, to further control their costs. Their food service executives wear many hats and are experts at multi-tasking, because they have to be. Therefore, time is short to actively manage these issues on a day to day basis. Also, actionable information on their purchases to effectively monitor and manage their businesses is either limited or non-existent.

Are some of these statements true for you?

  • “Our contract is coming up for renegotiation, and we don’t know whether or not to change anything.”
  • “We currently have no way to ensure that we are being charged correctly, as per our contract or based upon what the distributor tells us”
  • “We have price verification rights in our contract, but don’t know how to go about performing an effective audit”
  • “We have no way to generate reports to let us do some in-depth analysis of our business and to uncover additional opportunities for savings and improved efficiencies"
  • “Our staff is stretched so thin, we can only do the very basics on monitoring our procurement programs”

If so, then you are missing out on many opportunities to better control your food and beverage costs, as well as to continue to manage your purchasing program to its full potential.

These types of clients are most likely to be successful working with us if:

  • You are committed to controlling food and beverage costs through better communication and information.
  • Consistency and quality across your entire system is important to you.
  • You believe that contracting and negotiation should not be considered simply an annual event.
  • You are committed to mutually supportive relationships with your suppliers.
  • You believe that having input and support from outside sources can generate new ideas and positive results.
